Carved bear lamp/wood shade, $1,250
Carved bear lamps are an evolutionary extension of black forest
and other carvings. My preference is to start with a rough-cut,
chain-sawed bear and then do the final finishing work by hand.
The lamp-shades can either be leather, bark paper, or in the case
of the shown here, an amber wood shade by  a Wyoming artisan.
Cedar makes the best lamps; it is amazing that each bear emerges
with its own personality and rarely do two look alike.

Rare, Twin bears, $2,500 w/o shades
